Why did you become a lawyer? Prior to law school I was a public school teacher. I wanted to become a lawyer in order to challenge myself and also to continue to help others.
What have you enjoyed about being an attorney? Being an attorney allows me to combine two things I love – working with others and solving challenging problems. I enjoy working hard with my colleagues and clients and finding resolutions to problems.
Why is CJLW the right firm for you? I am thrilled to join CJLW – a group of talented attorneys who are also hardworking, compassionate and thoughtful people. CJLW is the right fit for me because it provides me with opportunities to grown professionally while also balancing my family and personal life.
Hobbies? Most of my free time is spent with my family – my husband, our two young children and our large and rowdy labradoodle. As a family we enjoy playing outside, spending time with our neighbors and friends, and visiting the Outer Banks. I also love to run and exercise.
Most Memorable Trip When I was twenty I spent a summer in Venezuela. I loved the people, culture and the Andes, but the trip was my most memorable because I had an appendectomy while there.
Favorite Winston-Salem Landmark I enjoy running through Reynolda Village and the area around Graylyn. As the mother of two young children, I love visiting the Children’s Museum.
Community Activities I am a member of the Junior League of Greensboro and the Guild of Family Service of Greensboro.
