What have you enjoyed about being an attorney? This may sound trite, but I really like being able to help people. I think I am adept at problem solving; so when someone comes to me with questions that are important to them or circumstances that require sorting out, I enjoy the process of working to find the answer that is right for that specific individual. I also enjoy the research required to handle some of the complex matters which clients bring to me.
Why Craige Jenkins? The law firms joining to form Craige Jenkins have long histories and excellent reputations in the legal community in Winston-Salem. At Craige Jenkins, I am working in concert with good lawyers and an excellent staff; and it gives me the opportunity to provide a greater range of legal services for my clients.
Hobbies? I like to read, play golf, and go boating. Boating is only a very occasional thing at this point, but it has meant a lot to me as a hobby throughout my life.
Community activities? I have been on the Board of Trustees for the Forsyth County Library. I am currently on an Advisory Committee for the Winston Salem Foundation, and I have served as Chairman of this Committee. I have been a member of Reynolda Rotary for many years. I have served on the Board of Associates in Christian Counseling. I have served as Board Member and Chairman of the Board of River Landing Presbyterian Home. I am also active in my Church.
NC Bar Association Activities? I have been a member of the NC Bar Association my entire legal career and have served on the Legislative Committee of the Probate section, which helps to write new laws dealing with the area in which I practice. Also, I have served on the Bar Association Foundation Committee, which raises funds for charitable causes promoted by the Bar Association, the committee that selects council members and trustees for the Bar Association and the Member of Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section, NC Bar Assn., Member of Elder Law Section, NC Bar Assn.
