Why did you choose to become an attorney? I chose to become an attorney because I can advocate for people who have a problem and need someone to speak or act on their behalf. I see law as a helping profession, and I like interacting with clients and helping them structure their affairs to best protect them.
What are your hobbies? I enjoy reading, gardening, family activities, our pets, yoga and swimming.
What is your favorite landmark in Winston-Salem? I particularly like Old Salem, where I lived with my family near the square for almost a year.
What is your favorite landmark in North Carolina and why? I like the beach, because I grew up near the ocean.
What is your most memorable trip?My most memorable trips occurred when I visited my college-age children when they studied abroad–in Germany, Scotland, and Australia
What are the community activities in which you participate? I am active on a committee supporting the Academically Gifted programs in the public schools. have also served on the Board of the Medical Alliance.
What is your most memorable client experience? I argued our case before the North Carolina Supreme Court.
