Donald H. Wells, Jr.
About Don
Don is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Virginia. His practice areas include estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, and taxation.
Don enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, hiking, and skiing. On what he has enjoyed about being an attorney, Don says this: I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how best to solve a problem. In law school I initially was drawn to legal history and was fortunate to practice for many years in the area of administrative law, primarily utilities regulation. While that field has a strong technical element, working with other experts such as accountants and engineers, at its core it is a stewardship type of practice, helping to balance the interests of many stakeholders. I am grateful and excited to bring that attention to detail and eye for the bigger picture to helping individuals and families plan for their futures and legacies.
Education
- Don received his B.A. with majors in Government and German from Bowdoin College in 2000 and received his J.D. from University of Virginia in 2003.
