About Susan
Since 2011, Susan has been a licensed attorney practicing primarily in the area of family law with a focus on financial matters such as equitable distribution, spousal support, and child support. Susan also represents clients in divorce, child custody, termination of parental rights, domestic violence, and adoption matters. Susan is certified by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Board-Certified Specialist in Family Law and is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Susan regularly presents at conferences on various family law topics including forensic accounting in divorce engagements and business valuation. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and has served on the Family Law Council as a member and in leadership. She previously served as President of the Forsyth County Women Attorneys Association and proudly leads an annual Christmas gift drive for children in foster care in Forsyth County.
Susan enjoys spending time with close family and friends and her two beloved dogs, Charlie and Otis. She loves to travel, visit with friends near and far, watch Boston sports, ski, sail, and cook.
Education
- Susan received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Boston University School of Management, with Concentrations in Accounting and Finance and Minor in Economics, in 2005. She received her J.D. from Wake Forest University in 2011.
