Thomas J. Doughton
Tommy is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in the United States District Courts in the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of North Carolina. His areas of practice include civil litigation, corporate law, estate planning, estate administration, and employment law. Tommy has argued cases in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
He is a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, where he serves as an usher and past chair of the Trustee Committee. Tommy is also a past coach and past board member of Winston-Salem National Little League, as well as a former coach of YMCA basketball and YMCA Adventure Guide, having served as a past Chief of the Nation. He has also volunteered as an Assistant Scout Leader for Troop 911.
Tommy enjoys golf, hiking, and spending time with his family. On why he chose to become an attorney, Tommy says this: I did not want to do the same thing every day.
- Tommy received his B.A. from Furman University in 1984, where he played basketball, and he received his J.D. from Wake Forest University in 1989.
